The Rotary Club of Bathurst Daybreak has initiated a project, in partnership with the Central West Women's Health Centre and the Family Violence Awareness Group Inc, to raise funds for an education program in the local community. The fundraising will commence with a major launch at the Bathurst Business Awards on 9 September.

The Victorian government recently initiated a Royal Commission, whose submissions closed on the 29th May 2015.

Prepare for White Ribbon Day 25 November 2015
In 1999, the United Nations General Assembly declared 25 November as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, with a white ribbon as its iconic symbol.
Does your community celebrate this day?
The White Ribbon Campaign is about recognising the positive role that men play in preventing violence against women. It fosters and encourages male leadership in the prevention of violence against women, based on the understanding that most men are not violent.
The Campaign is a means for men to speak out against violence against women, and to safely and effectively challenge the attitudes and behaviours of a minority of men who use or condone violence against women.

Colleen Hewett supports Violence Free Families (VFF)
In support of VFF, Colleen recently started donating part of the proceeds of sale of her recent album "Black and White" to Violence Free Families.
In a specially recorded video to accompany this special gesture, Colleen is accompanied by famous Australians (including the Prime Minister!) in saying 'No' to violence, with her single 'Let Me Breathe'. You can watch the video here.
